My Halfway Point

I have been announcing for quite some time now that I will live to be over 100 years old.

If December 7, 2016 is my official halfway point… I will be at least 106 years old and still loving my life as I ring in the New Year of 2069 .  Of course, I will be toasting it AF.

I was reading through The Skimm this morning, and was curious to learn more about Clare Hollingworth, it was announced that she died yesterday at the fantastic age of 105.

What a life and what a mindset …

Often dressed in a tailored safari suit and sometimes packing a pearl-handled revolver, Ms. Hollingworth marched with troops, witnessed firefights, traveled to rebel hideouts and rode along during aerial bombing runs. In Kashmir, motoring across a bridge that had come under shelling by Pakistani troops, she gushed to a colleague, “Now, this is what makes life worth living!”  – John Otis

This week, as I was going through the junk mail of sale catalogs, I was amazed and drawn into the eyes of the amazing woman,Tao, on the cover of Athleta.  98 year old Tao Porchon-Lynch is the oldest yoga teacher.

You have to watch her in a video to grasp the amazing LIGHT that she shines on the world.  I want to evolve to having her spirit!

In my head I’m still in my 20’s, and I have no intention of ever growing up –Tao

And I simply love this TED Talk…where she has to take off her high heeled red pumps to get into a full lotus position.  What a role model!

There is nothing you cannot do.  -Tao

I CAN ………be happily sober with a positive attitude.
